Getting Started

1 Download the Extension

Visit the Autosolver Download page to download the extension files.

2 Unzip the Downloaded File

Locate the downloaded .zip file in your Downloads folder and unzip it. You should see a folder containing the extension files.

Tip: Keep the unzipped folder in a permanent location. If you move or delete it, the extension will stop working and you will need to reload it.

Installing the Extension

1 Open Google Chrome

The Autosolver extension is designed for Google Chrome. Make sure you have it installed and open.

2 Navigate to the Extensions Page

Type chrome://extensions into the address bar and press Enter.

3 Enable Developer Mode

Find the "Developer Mode" toggle in the top-right corner of the extensions page and enable it.

Important: Developer Mode must remain enabled for the extension to work. Do not disable it after installation.

4 Load the Extension

Click the "Load Unpacked" button that appears after enabling Developer Mode. In the file dialog, select the unzipped extension folder from Step 3 of Getting Started.

5 Verify Installation

The Bypassify extension icon should now appear in your Chrome toolbar. If you don't see it, click the puzzle piece icon in the toolbar and pin the Bypassify extension.

Installation Complete! The extension is now installed and ready to be configured.

Using the Extension

1 Sign In

Click the Bypassify extension icon in your toolbar and sign in with your Bypassify account credentials.

2 Select Your AI Model

Choose your preferred AI model from the extension popup: ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini.

Note: You can switch between models at any time via the extension popup. Try different models to see which works best for your coursework.

3 Open the AI Model

Open your selected AI model (ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini) in another browser tab. You must be logged in to the AI service for the extension to work.

Important: The AI model tab must remain open while using the extension. Do not close it during your assignment.

4 Navigate to Your Assignment

Open your McGraw-Hill SmartBook assignment in a separate browser tab as you normally would.

5 Start Bypassify

Look for the "Start Bypassify" floating button that appears on the assignment page. Click it to activate the extension.

6 Let the Extension Work

The extension will automatically detect questions on the page and send them to your selected AI model for answers. Sit back and let it handle the work.

That's it! The extension will continue to automatically process questions as you progress through your assignment.

Settings

Speed Toggle

The extension offers two speed modes:

Normal Mode: Standard processing speed. Recommended for stability and accuracy.
Fast Mode: Increased processing speed for quicker answers. May occasionally sacrifice accuracy for speed.

Recommendation: Start with Normal mode. Switch to Fast mode once you are comfortable with how the extension works.

Model Selection

You can switch between AI models at any time via the extension popup:

ChatGPT: Great all-around performance for most question types.
Claude: Strong at reasoning and detailed explanations.
Gemini: Fast responses with solid accuracy.

Remember: When switching models, make sure the corresponding AI service is open and logged in within another browser tab.
